
Using technology to address the mundane and solve the points of pain in your business is the reason Stephen and I started StaffSync more than a decade ago, focused on the education sector. As the business grew and expanded beyond schools, we launched Simplifi, our workforce management solution designed to make managing staff simple.
Creating software that works and is intuitive is what motivates me each day. With expertise in strategic planning, business development, and operational improvement, I’ve worked across a wide range of industries, including tech startups and consultancy. I bring over three decades of business experience, both as a Management Consultant (Regional Head, Asia Pacific at Jaako Poyry Consulting) and an owner of one of NZ’s first successful SaaS businesses (TenderLink).
To achieve our goal of creating Australasia’s premium workforce management software, my job is focused on building a strong team. To this end, I am in the fortunate position of employing some incredible talented people. The key quality that I look for in our staff is a willingness to help others because, based on over 30 years’ experience, I believe collaboration is the key ingredient for all successful companies. I see this trait flowing through Simplifi everywhere – from the close relationship our BDMs client services team have with our clients, to the nights and weekends our Tech team devote to solving any issues that arise, through to the fantastic support we offer through our 0800 and 1800 help lines.
As the co-founder of Simplifi, I’ve channelled my passion for technology into bringing together this phenomenal team to create a platform to streamline workforce management. Our vision has enabled businesses – from schools to large retailers and hospitals – to manage both casual and permanent staff more effectively through an intuitive app, saving time and money through our innovative technology solutions that simplify the complex challenges that we face.
